I recently moved into a new apartment.  How do I claim my $100 rebate?

Great question, all you need to do is fill out the Rebate Claim form.  Please be sure that you have listed "TENANTS DIRECT" on your guest card and application as the referral source.  Once your rebate claim form is received, we confirm your lease with the property then process and mail your $100 rebate within 6 to 10 weeks.

Tenants Direct has a staff of licensed real estate agents however our agents are not realtors.  We do have great relationships with many local realtors that we are happy to recommend to you depending on the area you wish live.

I just signed my lease and I am interested in renters insurance.  Can I make the effective date of my policy the same as the day I move in?

Absolutely, it is actually best to start the process as soon as possible.  Also, if you already live in your new place, we can make the policy effective shortly after you either complete the online quote sheet or call us at (800) 653-0104 and speak with an insurance specialist.

What will the renters insurance cover?

For less than $8 a month, in most cases, renters insurance will cover your valued home items and heirlooms up to $25,000 or more and provide $100,000 of personal injury insurance and $50,000 worth of property damage insurance. Renters insurance can even cover legal expenses.  A typical renters insurance policy covers your property in the event of: fire, theft, lightning, smoke and water damage from plumbing, among others.

 What am I risking as a renter by not getting insurance?

All renters risk the loss of all personal items and heirlooms.  Ask yourself:  How much are my clothes, furniture and electronic equipment worth?  And you’ll want to be covered at least that amount.  Some believe that insurance protection is not necessary if the landlord has an insurance policy on the building however a landlord's insurance policy will not cover your personal property.
